A scam that cost a business $18,000 has prompted a warning this week to be careful with invoicing.
Telecommunications Users Association spokesman Paul Brislen said that invoice scams were common. Businesses should make sure more than one person checked every invoice, that only expected invoices were paid and the bank details matched those of the intended recipient.
