A prominent blogger is planning a book exposing philandering politicians to coincide with the election.
Blogger Cameron Slater plans to dish the dirt on male and female MPs from across the political spectrum.
He said he had kiss-and-tell stories from women who claimed to have had affairs with male politicians, including one who said she had slept with three past and present ministers.
Other sources included drivers and security staff.
"If you're an MP and you're partying, it's game over," said Slater. "The benchmark will be unethical behaviour."
Slater was prosecuted last year for repeated breaches of name suppression on his Whaleoil blog.
He expected renewed legal attention with the publication of the book. "It's good to have a lawsuit every now and again."
If challenged he would rely on a legal defence of "honest opinion".
Media lawyer Steven Price said those named in the book could seek an injunction to halt publication or sales.
He said it would be a "strategic" decision because it might create the impression those wanting to halt publication had something to hide.
Other options included defamation action for damages after publication.
Price said it was possible to defend defamation action by claiming "honest opinion" but the opinion must be based on facts.
Slater intends to publish the book himself and sell it over the internet but will also try booksellers.
