KEY POINTS:
Volvo is introducing a budget-priced satellite navigation system as an option on all of its New Zealand models.
Every car sold between now and the end of the month will have the system fitted as standard. After that, it becomes an $850 option. The screen is integrated into the top of the dashboard.
It's also portable - charged by the car's battery when in the vehicle - and can be used, says Volvo, "to find the vehicle again in large car parks or other crowded areas". The set-up also has Bluetooth cellphone connectivity, with an integrated microphone and speaker.
