A plane carrying a romantic gesture has been spotted flying across the Auckland skies this afternoon.
The plane carrying a banner that read: "Sarah will you marry me?" was seen in the air above Freemans Bay.
A Herald reporter at the scene said she saw the small plane tugging its special message, written in red, on its way towards the city.
