Saori Kikuda, 19, was an English language student from Toyama College of Foreign Languages in Japan, who died when the CTV building collapsed in the earthquake.
Her father said Saori had been looking forward to going to New Zealand for the month-long group study visit to the King's Education language school, which was based in the CTV building.
