St Nick dominated Auckland's Viaduct Basin last night.
Hundreds of Santas and other Christmas characters hit the pavement for the annual Great KidsCan Santa Run, which kicked off at 6.30pm from Queens Wharf.
For the 2km waterfront charity run, participants over 13 years old received a Santa suit, while Santa hats were available for younger competitors.
Proceeds from the event, which also took place at locations in North, West and South Auckland, go to the KidsCan Charitable Trust.
Thousands of participants from other parts of New Zealand, including Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga and Wellington, organised and competed in their own Santa Run last night.
