Women are emailing Telecom's Santa Line looking for that special stocking filler - a man.
One woman - blonde, blue-eyed, 36-24-36 - has asked for a rich, pedestal-providing man who wants to worship her.
He needs to have a million-dollar home and a Lamborghini in the garage, adore children and be under 40.
Another emailer says she needs a new man because she broke her last one.
One particularly busy woman who will be cooking for Christmas Day has requested a non-burping, elf-man who doesn't talk rugby or politics to do dishes.
Telecom head of consumer marketing Victoria Crone says this is the first year such requests have been made on the Santa Line.
"Clearly people believe in the magic of Christmas."
All of the senders of emails requesting a man identified themselves as women.
Maybe it is just a fun thing, says Ms Crone, but clearly women are articulating their needs and are being specific.
One child wanting an Xbox even requested a man for mum.
But most of the more than 64,000 Christmas requests sent to Telecom's email, text and 0800 Santa lines are more practical. Brat dolls, iPods, cellphones, and PlayStation and Xbox consoles are popular this year.
Santa just the man for fantasies
