Samsung have had to add another phone number and increase staff and service hours after they issued a product safety recall on their top loading washing machines four days ago.
The company has opened an official investigation into reports of a fire in one of its machines at a house in Grey Lynn in Auckland.
Samsung say there are approximately 36,000 top load washing machines affected in New Zealand.
They say customers should visit the Samsung New Zealand website for contact details, and check their machine's model number to see if it is part of the recall.
