A man who burgled a Salvation Army depot and robbed it of sausages and beans has been denied bail.
Justin Paul Thornicroft, 42, admitted burgling the Greymouth Salvation Army depot on October 28 and charges from Dunedin of driving while disqualified and while impaired by drugs.
Police prosecutor Steven Greer told Greymouth District Court Thornicroft stole $250 worth of sausages, and cans of curry powder, baked beans, corn and fruit.
Thornicroft told police he was drunk and could not recall the offending.
He was remanded for sentencing on January 15.
