KEY POINTS:
The Salvation Army is in for a merry Christmas after the unexpected success of its fundraising CD. It's a Wrap, which is being sold through Woolworths, Countdown and Foodtown stores, has already sold 24,177 copies and Major Robert Ross said he hoped sales would reach 40,000.
"Originally we thought around 15,000, then we got brave and ordered some more and we were sort of wondering whether we'd overdone it." All the money made from the $5 CD is going to the Salvation Army.
The CD is a compilation of traditional and modern Christmas songs.
