The navy's newest chef has taken the cake with the service's most improved award.
Former Kuranui College pupil Natasha Campbell was awarded a prize for being the most improved trainee during the Royal New Zealand Navy's first intake of sailors for 2013.
In front of family and friends, Ordinary Chef (OCH) Campbell received the Stoker First Class William Dale Cup, recognising her significant progress during the 13-week basic common training course.
Ms Campbell attended Kuranui College before moving to Taupo, and then into the navy.
She received her prize at graduation parade on Friday April 12, as one of 74 men and women who graduated after 13 weeks of naval training.
