Two West Coast District Health Board staff members who accessed Black Cap Jesse Ryder's patient files inappropriately have been subject to a disciplinary process.
The cricketer spent almost a week in Christchurch Hospital after suffering serious injuries in an attack outside a Merivale bar early on March 28.
DHB chief executive David Meates confirmed last week that during Ryder's time in hospital, four clinical staff at Greymouth allegedly accessed Ryder's x-ray results, despite not being involved in his care.
Two of the staff members were from the West Coast DHB, one from the South Canterbury DHB and one was from Christchurch.
In a statement yesterday, the board said the West Coast staff had been subject to disciplinary action. The details of that were confidential ``under our employment obligations''.
