It might be a hit with the younger generation, but the campaign song for marketing next year's Rugby World Cup in New Zealand is decidedly unpopular among older people.
A UMR Research research survey has found that 59 per cent of people over 60 who have heard Christchurch band The Feelers sing Right Here, Right Now do not like it, while about three quarters of people aged 18 to 44 said they liked it.
According the survey, 71 per cent of New Zealanders were familiar with the song, which can be heard on advertisements for World Cup tickets.
The song is equally popular among men and women, the survey found.
