The weather gods smiled on Les Chevaliers d'Argent this month, who host two Medieval equestrian camps a year in Eketahuna.
The Medieval cavalry unit practise medieval re-enactment, using armour, swords and archery, on horseback or standing.
Les Chevaliers spokesperson Denise Clifton said their camp on May 4 and 5 enjoyed glorious weather over "the ancient forest of Mellemskov - which is the old Scandinavian name for Eketahuna".
The camp attracted enthusiasts from Palmerston North, Levin, Wellington and Pahiatua.
"The Eketahuna Camp ground is a beautiful site to host medieval camps, and the caretakers Loreen and Kerry Cunningham are very welcoming, and tolerant of our slightly unusual hobby, and have been very supportive to us, allowing us to make an area there for an archery site which we can use at any time," said Clifton.
