KEY POINTS:
A 20-year-old murder accused has been found after 12 days on the run.
John Jamieson, a fisherman, escaped from police at Waimate on July 4 after being arrested for breach of bail for associating with a female crown witness.
Jamieson is one of six youths jointly charged with the murder of Timaru man Wayne Bray who died after a late night street attack on February 2.
Police said Jamieson was found yesterday afternoon driving through Carew, 20km northeast of Geraldine, in the company of the same witness that led to his earlier arrest.
He was held in custody overnight and is likely to appear before a judge in the High Court in Christchurch today.
