The weather for the start of next month's Rugby World Cup (RWC) is looking unsettled, with the prospect of a cold front moving in, WeatherWatch says.
"We usually avoid making specific predictions so far out but we've been overwhelmed by the number of people asking about weather," Weatherwatch lead analyst Philip Duncan said today
He said long range predictions showed the September 9 RWC start could fall between anticyclones.
"The models are telling us the country will be seeing one high depart to the east while the next high remains well to our west.
"That could leave us a little vulnerable for unsettled weather and perhaps a cold front to move in.
