A touring rugby team with a difference will play a Carterton XV at Carterton tomorrow afternoon.
They are from the famous Welsh club Llanelli and about half of the players are down syndrome with the other half being made up of their caregivers and supporters.
Their visit to New Zealand was prompted, of course, by the current Lions tour and games have been arranged for them in other areas as well.
The Llanelli team's opposition at Carterton will come from that club's senior third division side, along with a few 'ring ins" such as former Wairarapa-Bush reps Steve Hurley, Bernard Lett, Michael O'Connor and Rex Playle.
Kick off for what should be an entertaining match is 3.30pm.
