Rugby: Premiers in Masterton

The Wairarapa-Bush Rugby Union's council of clubs have missed a prime opportunity to promote their premier division competition.
No fewer than three of the five matches scheduled for Saturday will be staged on Masterton grounds.
However, rather than stagger their starting times, they will all kick off at 2.30pm.
Marist and East Coast will meet at Memorial Park, Pioneer and Greytown at the Park Sportsground and Masterton Red Star and Martinborough at the Colombo road grounds.
The full draw for Saturday is:-Premier division: Eketahuna v Featherston, Eketahuna at 2.30pm (A.Payne); Marist v East Coast, Memorial Park at 2.30pm (A.Stringer; G.Hall and home team); Pioneer v Greytown, Park Sportsground at 2.30pm (S O'Gorman; K.Lochhead and home team); Masterton Red Star v Martinborough, Colombo road at 2.30pm (C.Jefferies); Gladstone v Carterton, Gladstone at 2.30pm (T.Roseingrave; P.Weeks and home team).
