RSA gift has hospital on a roll

An act of generosity by the RSA will make life easier for a lucky patient at Glenwood Masonic Hospital in Masterton.

On Thursday, committee member of Masterton RSA Ash Braggins donated a mobility scooter to the hospital.

He said the RSA had "revamped" the scooter including installing a new battery.

The RSA had eight mobility scooters to donate.

Mr Braggins said it was "part of the service", providing for people in need in Masterton.

Glenwood Hospital manager Danielle Farmer said the scooter, worth $3500, would make "a big difference to peoples lives".

"We can't afford to buy scooters so we are very grateful," she said.
