Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, has sent a letter of thanks to King Street Artworks after a local artist sent her a portrait of her unborn royal baby.
Long-time artist Catherine Scully decided to draw a portrait of the royal baby after the pregnancy was announced, as she shares a name with Catherine, more commonly known as Kate.
She said it was "unbelievable" the royal family had got back to her and she was happy about the response. Ms Scully had said to staff: "I hope the other Catherine likes it as much as I did."
She said her family were very proud of her achievement.
Co-ordinator Ian Chapman said they sent the original artwork and a letter of introduction to the royal family in December, after it was suggested at a staff meeting. "We were going to keep it secret, but she [Catherine] found out," he said.
