Double Olympic gold medallist Georgina Evers-Swindell was married yesterday at a church in her home province of Hawke's Bay.
The 30-year-old, who joined with twin sister Caroline in winning a gold medal in the rowing double sculls in Beijing last August, married Sam Earl in front of about 100 friends and family at a church in the small settlement of Pukehou, a Sunday newspaper reported.
The paper said it understood a women's magazine had an exclusive deal to report on the wedding, which comes three months after the twins announced their retirement from competitive rowing.
