Kaikoura's State Highway 1 could be closed for at least two more weeks as dangerous slips are cleared.
New Zealand Transport Agency crews continue to work on a new slip about 3km south of Peketa, meaning the highway might not be open until May 1.
The confirmed closure is set
to continue to April 24, but could stretch until May.
Rock and debris fell from the top of the slip on Thursday night, making the slip highly unstable.
