Firefighters were called to the Okahu Bay marine this morning after a fire was reported on a boat.
Flames were reported on board a 5m runabout at 9.45am.
Fire communications spokesman Jaron Phillips said there were no flames when staff arrived, however it appeared there had been an electrical fire onboard. The boat did not suffer any damage.
Mr Phillips said it was difficult to get to the callout quickly due to the annual Ports of Auckland Round the Bays event, which kicked off 15 minutes earlier.
