A Rotorua woman who disappeared when she left home on her bicycle to visit friends has now been missing for almost two weeks.
The search is continuing for 51-year-old Michelle Hoffman-Tamm, despite possible sightings in the Glenholme and Ngongotaha areas of Rotorua around November 7 when she went missing.
Police said they were working with determination to bring answers to family and friends.
"This is still a missing person inquiry and we haven't given up hope that there is a plausible explanation for Michelle's disappearance, but each day that passes with no news increases our concern for her safety," said Detective Senior Sergeant Zane Smith.
Mr Smith said police won't rule out that something more "untoward" had happened to Ms Hoffman-Tamm and had conducted a number of searches, inquiries and had sent officers door-to-door.
