A man who previously pleaded guilty to 16 charges relating to making, distributing and possessing child pornography after a tip-off from an American agency has been sentenced to three years in prison.
Name suppression was lifted for Christopher David Harold Grant, 42, when he appeared in Rotorua District Court today for sentencing on four charges of making child pornography, two charges of distributing child pornography, 10 charges of possessing child pornography and a charge of doing an indecent act on a child.
He committed the offending between October 20, 2010, and May 12, 2011.
