A 20-year-old Rotorua man has appeared in the Rotorua District Court charged with the murder of Polish man Roman Skorek, 64.
The man, who has been granted interim name suppression, made a brief appearance before two Justices of the Peace in the Rotorua District Court this morning and did not enter a plea.
He has been remanded in custody until February 2 when a bail application is expected to be made.
The body of Mr Skorek, who had been living in New Zealand and Niue, was found in Rotorua's Kuirau Park earlier this week.
Police have made three other arrests in connection with the case.
