Tea Ropati is allowed back on the road after pleading guilty to a charge of drink driving.
The former rugby league star was stopped on New Year's Day, with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit.
Last month his licence was suspended for six months and he was fined $750, including court costs.
But in the Auckland District Court today, a judge granted Ropati a limited license for reasons that were not revealed in court.
