KEY POINTS:
Once considered one of our most fierce MPs, Act leader Rodney Hide is back living with his parents after the collapse of his 23-year marriage to Jiuan Jiuan.
In a wide-ranging interview with Paul Holmes today, Hide discusses his personal life and politics - over tea and scones in his parents' Auckland home.
"I would like to say I'm looking after them, but they're looking after me," Hide says.
Holmes asks Hide whether living with his parents might destabilise his image in the minds of his Epsom constituents.
"No ... People respect you for the decisions you make and how you perform them.
"I think people should be pleased you have a strong enough family that you can actually spend some time with your parents until you get sorted."
