Cross Creek Blues Club will host four self-confessed "ageing rockers" on Wednesday, when Wellington band Sleight of Hanz play at the Tin Hut in Tauherenikau.
The group formed in 2004 through "a mutual interest in playing good music" and have since entertained audiences throughout the lower and central North Island regions.
Founding members Al Simmonds, on vocals and guitar, and bass player Scott Boswell have a 15-year association with the New Zealand music industry and have together played in several projects.
Vocalist and guitarist Paul Gannell and drummer Allan Anthony have had long careers in the Australian rock scene, touring extensively in supporting acts for Cold Chisel, Buddy Guy, BB King and Albert Collins, among many others.
Blues Club members will open the show at 7.15pm and Sleight of Hanz will take the stage at 9pm.
