Veteran Graeme Roberts beat younger rivals to win the second race in the Athletics and Cycling Masterton harriers trophy race series on the roads around the Lansdowne area.
Competing in the men's 60-year grade, Roberts made full use of his handicap to be first across the line for all grades.
Second home was Brenda Farley, who overtook Nicola Murray just three metres from the line to lead in the walkers and her daughter, Shayla Farley, made it a family occasion by being the first finisher in the girls under-16 grade. She had a 2m advantage over Claudia Green over the 4km course, thereby reversing the result of their previous meeting.
Line honours in the men's 40-year division went to Barrie Joslin from the Carterton club, while the fastest time in the senior men's grade was recorded by Ben Winder, who covered the 8km in 28m 20s.
Gail Edwards was first home in the women's 8km event with Annie Hawkes runner-up.
