A 14-year-old Tauranga boy says he is in shock after a robber came into his family's dairy and grabbed him by the throat.
Karamjit Singh was working on Saturday evening when two men entered the Matua Dairy. One jumped over the counter and gripped Karamjit by the throat, swearing and demanding cigarettes.
The robbers grabbed packets of cigarettes and fled in a car. It was stopped a short time later by police and the pair were arrested.
The men, aged 19 and 23 and from the Waikato, will appear in the Tauranga District Court this morning charged with aggravated robbery and dangerous driving in relation to the incident.
