A rural Waikato road has reopened after a milk tanker rolled and spilled part of its load during a delivery.
Ngarua Rd, between State Highway 26 and SH27, has been closed most of this morning after the tanker rolled at 2.43am, Waikato police Senior Sergeant Dean Anderson said.
Firefighters were also called in to help stop the milk leaking into nearby waterways.
Northern fire service shift manager Daniel Nicholson said crews created a little dam to stop the milk from escaping until authorities could get there.
