Police in Christchurch are seeking witnesses to a road rage incident that continued for several kilometres and ended at a suburban police station.
Police said a chase began after one vehicle cut off another as it changed lanes heading into the city at the corner of Deans Ave and Moorhouse Ave about 1pm last Friday.
Items were thrown and one of the two vehicles involved -- a silver and blue Nissan Navara dual cab ute and a white Honda Accord -- drove on the footpath for a time.
The vehicles were then involved in a chase through several inner city streets, with one vehicle trying to force the other to stop.
The chase ended in a collision outside the Sydenham police station in Stanley Street and a further confrontation between the occupants.
Police are seeking witnesses to several incidents involving the vehicles and their occupants.
Senior Sergeant Stephen Jones, of Sydenham police, said there were many other vehicles around at the time.
No further details were available.
