Major traffic delays are expected in the central North Island after the closure of two main traffic routes.
A truck crashed just south of Tohunga Junction, SH4 about 9am.
Police central communications spokesman Inspector Kevin Riordan said a truck and trailer had jack-knived at the bridge blocking the road.
"StateHighway four is now closed until we can clear the truck, and that probably will take up to an hour and a half," he said.
