The accolades for New Zealand's first medallist at the Rio Olympics have come thick and fast, with Natalie Rooney already being featured on a post stamp.
The Timaru trap shooter won a silver medal this morning, and NZ Post will honour her achievement with an appearance on a stamp.
NZ Post head of stamps and coins Simon Allison said the honour was in recognition of her being the first Kiwi to medal at the games.
"Our athletes are truly inspirational and like the rest of New Zealand, we're following their progress in Rio," he said.
Every time New Zealand wins a medal at the Games, a special sheet of six stamps will be printed showing images of the medal winners. The stamps will be available to order online and a range of Olympic medallist stamps will be available to purchase at post shops.
The stamps are part of a collectable series produced by NZ Post for the Rio Olympics.
