Laura Rhymer provided the star act when the Ruamahanga Ramblers staged a run up Mount Dick in Carterton this week.
With 4kms of hilly terrain plus a gravel road to negotiate it was a true test of stamina and Rhymer was in her element, making the top of the climb more than a minute ahead of her nearest rival.
Results: Laura Rhymer 28.36, Greg Lang 29.54, Michael Duthie 30.44, Steve Britland 31.47, Ray Wallis 32.12, Craig Bird 33.30, Chris Magaw 36.40, Wendy Wills 41.42, John Cromarty 42.37.
Next week will see the last Tuesday evening event for the season and it will start from Greg Lang's property at Gladstone. It will be part-cross country and part-road and will give participants a chance to have an early look at a course which will be utilised during the winter season.
