KEY POINTS:
Indian-owned Land Rover has received two Queen's Awards for Enterprise at its Gaydon headquarters in Warwickshire.
One was for international trade, increasing export sales by 52 per cent to about $10.4 billion per year, an increase of $3.4b in three years.
The company also won an award for innovation, for the patented Terrain Response System that sets up the vehicle's engine response and traction to maximise performance on all surfaces.
Presenting the awards on behalf of the Queen, Lord Lieutenant for Warwickshire Martin Dunne says winning two awards is "remarkable" and that the only other occasion he has presented two awards at one time was to Land Rover in 2001.
