A man who stole more than $60,000 in cash and irreplaceable keepsakes from residents in a Tauranga rest home has been jailed for five years. Paul Tipene, aged 30, was told by Judge Thomas Ingram in Tauranga District Court that he had not just stolen items but treasured memories, the Bay of Plenty Times reported.
