A resolution is in sight for a 33-year-old Masterton woman accused of theft from the Guy Houlbrooke White Memorial Trust.
When the woman appeared before Judge Peter Hobbs in Masterton District Court yesterday, her lawyer, Louise Elder, said police had reached a resolution with the woman, who has interim name suppression, agreeing to pay back money she was alleged to have stolen from the trust between July 28 and November 23, 2012.
Prosecutor Sergeant Jodie Lawrence said there needed to be a result for the trust and the case would be monitored for 10 weeks. Ms Elder was told by the judge the issue of name suppression would need to be advanced at the woman's next appearance. The accused was remanded on bail to reappear on June 12.
