Occupants of a house in the Waikato town of Tokoroa managed to escape from a fire just before 2pm today.
The fire was well alight when fire crews arrived, northern fire communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said.
"The residents inside the house managed to escape and everyone was accounted for," Mr Phillips said.
An LPG cylinder was also involved in the blaze.
Firefighters were still at the scene and a fire safety officer was investigating.
