Rescuers revive baby found in stream

Surf lifesavers rescued and revived a 1-year-old girl found floating face-down in a stream near Gisborne last night.

They pulled the child from Okitu Stream, at Wainui Beach, and alerted St John Ambulance about 5.15pm.

A Gisborne Hospital spokeswoman said late last night that the girl was stable and doing well.
