A woman and her four-year-old son who got lost while walking on the Te Whiti firebreak track in Lower Hutt in Wellington this afternoon have been found.
A search and rescue team was sent to the area after police received a call from the mother at 4pm on Sunday saying she was lost.
A police media spokesperson confirmed they were found safe and sound at about 5.45pm on the Te Whiti Riser.
The pair are fine and are being escorted out.
