A young woman reported missing in the Timaru Creek area near Lake Hawea this morning has been found safe and well by searchers.
LandSAR Wanaka volunteers were flown to the search area about 10am after the woman failed to return from a day tramp last night.
LandSAR spokesman Phil Melchior said the woman was being brought back to Wanaka by helicopter. No further information was available.
