Rescue chopper called for injured Waiheke woman

Westpac Rescue Helicopter staff were still on scene treating the woman and preparing to transport her to hospital.

A 58-year-old woman is being treated for a possible broken leg on Waiheke Island.

Emergency services were notified about 5.20pm that the woman had taken a fall at Enclosure Bay, a St John Ambulance spokesman said.

"There was a 58-year-old woman who had taken a fall and subsequent to the fall she had a probable fracture of her leg and is being transported by heli," he said.
