Police responding to reports of an aggravated robbery at a jewellery store arrested two men after spotting a car and chasing the suspects today.
An aggravated robbery was reported at the Michael Hill store in Westgate, West Auckland, just before noon.
Initial reports suggested one of the men used a
hammer and the other waited in the car.
Police responding to the incident noticed a car matching the description of that which allegedly sped away from the mall, about 3km away.
"...They saw the car on Don Buck Rd. They had a short pursuit," Inspector Cornell Klussein said.
