TVNZ reporter Ruth Wynn-Williams was detained by police during the Gable Tostee murder trial verdict.
Wynn-Williams said a "cluster of detectives grabbed my phone" after she was suspected of live tweeting details of the case from court in Brisbane, in a case of mistaken identity.
"I was detained by police," Wynn-Williams told Hilary Barry on TVNZ's Breakfast show this morning.
"Just before I was about to go live to bring the verdict, police walked into my shot. I was apprehended by police."
Wynn-Williams said there was heavy scrutiny by the judge on the actions of media yesterday, after some reporters revealed details of a juror's actions on social media that were supposed to be suppressed.
