A report to the Ministry of Education on allegations that two teachers beat children at a small Bay of Plenty school is expected today.
The Teachers Council investigated the pair, Tangi Callaghan and Erueti Korewha, after some parents complained they were hitting their children at Omaio School, 56km northeast of Opotiki, in the eastern Bay of Plenty.
The teachers were allowed to keep their registrations.
The Herald on Sunday reported Ms Callaghan still works at the school and Mr Korewha, who was the principal, now works as a teacher at a school near Tauranga.
