KEY POINTS:
As fears grow for her safety, a renewed search was launched today for a 39-year-old woman missing since earlier this month.
Belinda Michelle Wilson, who has a history of minor mental health issues, has not been seen since she left her Titirangi home on January 2.
Her mother reported her missing two days later.
Her bank accounts remain untouched and police say they are very concerned for her whereabouts and safety.
About 40 people including police, Air Force personnel and civilians, are engaged in today's search concentrated on the Titirangi Beach area.
"Six teams of search and rescue personnel are in the area covering a wide sector of dense bush and scrub," Waitemata police district communications manager Kevin McLoughin said.
"They began searching at 7.30am and will continue until late afternoon,.
"We're looking for any leads that will assist us to locate the whereabouts of this missing woman."
He said Ms Wilson regularly walked in the bush and today's search was not prompted by any new information.
Ms Wilson is described as Caucasian, 1.77m tall, of medium to solid build, of pale complexion but who often wore heavy make up.
When last seen she was wearing a pale pink top, long black dress with a large rip in the back.
Police said she regularly wore a wide rimmed sun visor and always had a black trundler carry bag on wheels with her.
