Henley Men's Shed has completed 544 white crosses intended for Anzac Day and Armistice Day commemorations this year.
Their work is part of a New Zealand-wide project under the Fields of Remembrance Trust, with local authorities and volunteers creating crosses for each fallen Kiwi soldier.
The crosses are provided to district councils for use in town squares for Anzac Day, before being transported to Westpac Stadium for a combined display on November 11.
Shed member Kevin Ball said the "shedders" had worked on the crosses, on and off, for about six months, with men from the Greytown and Featherston sheds joining forces to complete the work.
Each cross has two coats of white paint, and stickers bearing each soldier's name and a poppy and silver fern applied.
