A Wellington woman will appear in court next week to face accusations of stealing from her employers.
Ranola Balm, 37, was remanded today by a Wellington District Court registrar until Wednesday.
Her employers at a city travel agency had been trying without success for six months to get police to investigate an alleged systematic theft of money.
Last month, Police Commissioner Peter Marshall intervened and an arrest was made.
Balm, who did not seek name suppression, has yet to enter a plea to one count of theft.
